The White House Celebrates the Holidays in Our National Parks America's National Parks are the focus of this year's elaborate White House decorations. The remarkable displays of "Holiday in the National Parks" highlight the majesty, history and diversity of the country's 391 National Park Service sites.
Enjoy This Holiday With a Seasonal Recipe Cranberry Bread
4 Tbs. butter, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg, beaten 1 cup cooked, mashed cranberries 1/4 cup cranberry juice or orange juice 1 cup buttermilk 3 cups flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup chopped nuts 1 Tbs. orange rind, grated
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg. Stir in cranberry pulp, juice and buttermilk. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt, and add to mixture gradually. Fold in nuts and orange rind.
